Trinidad and Tobago, is a Twin island Republic located at the south most end of the Caribbean. This country consists of two main islands, Trinidad and Tobago and 21 smaller islands at various locations around the main islands. Trinidad and Tobago lies Just 7 miles (11 km) from the Venezuelan coast of South America, they are Separated by the Gulf of Paria. Trinidad, is the larger of the two main islands, and covers an area of about 1,850 square miles (4,800 square km). Tobago, is the smaller of the two main islands, covering an area of about 115 square miles (300 square km). Tobago is located 20 miles (30 km) in a northeast direction of Trinidad. Tobago is about 30 miles (50 km) long and a little over 10 miles (16 km) across at its widest point. Our total population is just about 1.4 Million about 0.02% of the total world population. Trinidad and Tobago is located just south of the equator making them a truly beautiful twin island tropical paradise.
